A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard.

Co-Chef Proprietors, Steven and Jonny, have both worked for Adam for over 10 years. The Loch & The Tyne is their opportunity to showcase the skills that they have learnt along the way, as well as to develop their own creativity.

Seating up to 10 guests, our luxurious private dining room comes complete with its own own personal chef and waiting staff, who are on hand for the duration of your visit to ensure a truly special occasion.

The two bedrooms available at The Loch & The Tyne have been created with history and luxury in mind – every piece of furniture tells a story. Expect ultra-comfortable beds, a freestanding bath in the living room and peace and tranquility. Your room package includes a decadent breakfast feast and the perfect country extras, such as full access to our gardens and the option to take one of our Nespresso Velosophy
bikes (made using recycled coffee capsules) for a spin.

Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & The Tyne offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.

In celebration of #SustainableGastronomyDay today, In celebration of #SustainableGastronomyDay today, here are a few things we are doing at @lochandtyne to become one of the UK’s most sustainable pub:

- Grow and harvest our own vegetables and herbs.

- Utilise local and seasonal ingredients embracing the best of British produce.

- Support local producers to shorten the field to fork journey. 

- Cook our dishes with a zero-waste mentality to avoid as much food surplus as possible.
- Incorporate eco-friendly elements throughout the pub such as upcycled furniture, solar-powered phone chargers or recycling the water used in all of the sinks as toilet water, minimising water waste.
Today marks a month since we opened and we couldn’t be prouder of the family we’ve formed here at @lochandtyne. From kitchen to FOH, every team member is a valuable part of this exciting new venture and it’s thanks to their passion, talent and dedication that all of you lovely guests can enjoy  a memorable pub dining experience.
